Jennifer Crawford was elected by voters in the November 2022 election to represent the Acacia District and was sworn in on January 3, 2023.
She was appointed by Council to serve as Mayor Pro Tem, to a one-year term, January 16, 2024. She was appointed to serve as Vice Mayor, a one-year term, on January 14, 2025.
With over 30 years of business and marketing experience in the private sector and an emphasis in sales and management, she has operated small businesses, a non-profit organization and is currently self-employed as a consultant.
Jennifer and her husband Stephen have lived in Peoria since 2004. Their two children attended Zuni Hills Elementary School and graduated from Liberty and Sunrise Mountain high schools.
Councilmember Crawford is focused on public safety, economic development, and the revitalization of downtown Peoria and believes resident engagement makes our community better!
I will continue to focus on revitalizing the downtown Peoria area by fostering strategic investment in infrastructure, local business support, public space enhancements, and community-centered design. Through coordinated planning, beautification projects, and partnerships with local stakeholders, I aim to create a safer, more welcoming downtown that strengthens economic opportunity, enhances quality of life, and reflects the unique character of our community.
Over the past three years, Peoria has made significant strides in strengthening public safety and enhancing emergency response. I am committed to protecting that progress. We cannot afford to move backward or allow the systems we’ve worked hard to improve to weaken. By preserving the gains we’ve achieved and building on them, we can ensure long‑term safety, stability, and confidence for all members of our community.
Our long‑term water security is dedicated to safeguarding a reliable, sustainable water supply for current residents and future generations. Water is one of our most vital resources, and as drought cycles intensify and infrastructure ages, it is critical that we take proactive steps to protect this resource before challenges become crises. My goal is to sustain a long‑term water strategy that is resilient, cost‑effective, and environmentally sound.
